The Warhammer 40k world is a rough place and with the release of the new Morkanaut and Gorkanaut it'll get a bit rougher.
With some of the recent lackluster releases like the Taurox and Treeman, we had lost faith in what was happening over in Nottingham. The Taurox resembles a fat cartoonish die cast car found at Toys R Us, instead of something menacing and tough for your troops. However, faith may be on the upswing with this new release.
This new multi-part plastic kit, available for pre-order, contains all the components to make one Ork Gorkanaut or one Ork Morkanaunt and its packed with a boat load of extras so you can add your own personalized touches.
The Gorkanaut possesses all the unsubtle brutality of Gork along with a blocky silhouette that looms menacingly over friend and foe alike.
Piloted by an Ork Nob, this hulking orkoid armoured war suit is the epitome of everything an Ork aspires to be: Massive, tough, loud and destructive.
The Gorkanaut’s main weapons are the deafening and deadly Deffstorm mega-shoota and the massive armoured Klaw of Gork.
It is also armed with two twin-linked big shootas, two rokkit launchas and a skorcha.
Personally built and piloted by an Ork Mekboy, the Morkanaut possesses all the lethal kunnin’ of Mork. Packed with glowy gubbinz from the Mek’s own workshop these mighty engines exist purely to cause carnage.
The Morkanaut’s main weapon is a profusion of worky gubbinz and zappy bits known as the kustom mega-kannon.
It is also armed with two twin-linked big shootas, two rokkit launchas, a kustom mega-blasta and the Klaw of Gork (or possibly Mork).
As mentioned, the kit is packed with extra bits as the sprues themselves will attest.
It's easy to see how this bad boy could tear down your defenses and then deliver your warboss into the heart of the enemy line.
So we'll leave you with additional images of both the Gorkanaut and the Morkanaut for your viewing pleasure. Let us know what you think of these guys!
Have a Great Battle,
The Old Crow
Hmm can't make my mind up about these. They have stompa's already it seems a bit pointless when compared to it. Not that its a bad model or anything.
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the input. I'd like to see the stats for these guys. If it can transport your boss and some hard hitting boyz across the battlefield more would make it into melee rather than getting shot up foot sloggin across. Then again, a truk or battlewagon would work. But with a Gorkanaut they'd travel in style!
DeleteStrange and amazing...great work!
